Hello, I’m Kirsty and together with my family we are participating in the Glasgow kilt walk again this year, which is on Sunday 27th April 2025 to continue to raise funds for a very special cause. The kilt walk is approximately 23 miles from Glasgow Green to Balloch Country Park, Loch Lomond.
We are very fortunate that our friend, Raymond, has offered to help to raise funds for Aimee aswell by running the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday 25th May.
Our goal? To provide my daughter Aimee, who is 15 years old and has cerebral palsy, with a hydrotherapy pool that she can access anytime. Aimee is non-verbal, reliant on tube feeding. Aimee struggles with physical pain every day. Aimee is so resilient and will give everything a go.
The hydrotherapy pool is Aimee’s sanctuary—a place where she can engage in physiotherapy without enduring the constant pain that shadows her every step. Aimee’s resilience shines through; she’s a true fighter who has already faced so much in her young life. Every effort we make to ease her journey will have a profound impact on her quality of life.
These pools, unfortunately, come with a hefty price tag but we are deeply grateful for any contributions toward making Aimee’s days brighter and more comfortable. Your support means the world to us, and together we can create a positive change for Aimee.
Thank you for being part of this compassionate endeavor! ❤️
