Aimee's Medical Expense
Donation protected
Just a Note from my Aunt Kathy: I visited with Greg yesterday. It was a very, very tough day. This health crisis for Aimee is getting more real each day. “Scary” is the word that was mentioned frequently. So much to deal with! First and foremost is Aimee getting well!!!! During our conversation we spoke about the short and long term changes possible from this situation and what Greg shared was most on his heart was to provide for all that Aimee needed to get strong and healthy and provide the essentials for the kids. Two big rocks surfaced. Aimee’s care, and Jax staying in his daycare that he loves, which will be impossible with the reduction of income. In addition, at the time of Aimee’s stroke she did NOT have medical insurance due to the high cost. They are currently in the process to get her insurance coverage for her future needs. This will take time and money.
I reminded Greg how MANY want to help, as stated over and over again right here in this group , and asked his permission to suggest our first fundraiser. He reluctantly said “yes”.
This week we have started the next chapter in Aimee's recovery. Unfortunately we have been denied every which way to get Aimee some sort of Health Care Insurance. Aimee starts her rehab. The rehab that is needed is going to be $10,000 for (1) week. This is inpatient rehab and is in addition to her 8 day hospital stay for the stroke itself.
