Aima is one of those rare souls that shines her bright light so big and with so much fierceness through her art, her music, and her community love. Its time we reflected that shine back at her.

LIVING EXPENSES: all her gigs and events have been cancelled, including the beloved Soulovely summertime jump off. Your generosity is golden.
A HOME STUDIO SETUP: she's been getting lots of offers to contribute her artistry to different projects, but no way to record herself from home.
A SCOOTER: transportation autonomy is a must during this time and we'd love to help her scoot around the Town, empowered and independent like the queen that she is.

"Dear Community,
Thank you to my amazing dream team for setting this up! You hold me in such love and light and I am eternally grateful!
The Covid-19 pandemic has taken its toll on so many of my beloveds and in so many ways. I am deeply humbled knowing that my scenario is a lucky and blessed one: I have food, community, and shelter. With that said this is a milestone birthday in the middle of a historic time and I would be lying if I said that I didn't need helping hands in this moment. How has Covid-19 effected my life? It has brought 20 years of working, hustling, and movement to a grinding halt. It has completely wiped me out of all scheduled jobs, gigs, performances, income, travel plans, and near future prospects. It has shone a light on where I am lacking in my own technology and tools to be able to continue doing creative work while being sheltered in place. It has put a mighty mirror to the face of my existence and purpose.
Right now I am in a complete reconfiguration of what my future looks like. This fundraiser is to help me meet some of my essential needs, yes...but it is so much more. I am looking to purchase the items I need to create an extremely basic home studio from which I can record and share my music. I have had offers during this time to contribute to several musical projects - but no way in which to do that from home. Any funds raised beyond those two things (basic human needs, basic vocalist home studio) will go toward my scooter fund. As someone who relies almost 100% on public transport and ride sharing, I have had no transportation autonomy at all during the shelter in place, or before. I believe having the ability to move freer will lead to better mental health and possible work opportunities.
I would like to thank you in advance for your contribution, your time & energy, and for your help sharing this to the broader community. It is with the love, support, and strength of my community that I am able to stand a little taller today.
