My name is Aiko Dimayuga and I have the privilege to have been selected as an official candidate of the Miss Filipina Teen International 2018 pageant. I was selected from a nationwide search of many qualified individuals to take part in the most prestigious Filipino pageant, to be held in Los Angeles in Summer 2018. I am writing to ask for your support as I begin my journey to the Miss Filipina Teen International crown.
First and foremost, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am 15 years old and from Carson California. I am currently a sophomore attending the California Academy of Mathematics and Science, where I also do many extracurriculars such as being a part of my school’s dance team, and volleyball team. I was also elected president of the drama club and vice president of art club. I feel very passionate about entertainment and performing arts because I believe that it evokes emotion and moves people’s hearts. I love being able to portray
important messages to the public, which is why I feel that this opportunity to become Miss Filipina Teen International will give me the chance to induce change in the world. It would be an honor to be a role model for young Filipina women everywhere, so that I might inspire them to be confident and strong, and appreciative of our beautiful culture.
In brief, MISS FILIPINA TEEN INTERNATIONAL (MFTI) is a pageant created to showcase and highlight the beauty, intellect, and cultural pride of today's young Filipina. It is a pageant in search of those special young women in today's Filipino communities around the globe with the beauty, grace and dynamic personalities and intelligence that set them apart from the rest. MFTI has a unique status as the only Filipino beauty pageant in the US with tourism promotion as its fundamental core value and holds the distinction of being the only Filipino pageant to be nationally televised in each of its five years of existence. The pageant will benefit and raise funds for two outstanding charitable organizations, Apl.de.ap Foundation International and Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation.
I am confident that I can do well in this pageant, which could lead to many opportunities for me in the future.
