Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you already know, my nephew, Aidyn, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The diagnoses he has is diencephalic syndrome.
After undergoing surgery for a biopsy, doctors have recommended that he undergo a second surgery to place an IVAD port and a G-tube to help with his treatment, and to increase his weight gain.
The road ahead for Aidyn is long and challenging. Starting soon, he will need weekly chemotherapy for the next 72 weeks. These treatments require regular travel to a hospital that is 2 hours away from their home, and in addition to this, Aidyn will need to adjust to life with a feeding tube, which will bring its own set of challenges.
As you can imagine, these medical treatments, travel expenses, and the ongoing adjustments to life with a feeding tube are going to add up. We are asking for your support to help ease their burden during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will help cover medical expenses, travel costs, and the unexpected expenses that come with Aidyn’s care.
Please keep Aidyn and our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this journey. We are incredibly grateful for any support you can offer, whether through donations or by sharing this campaign with others. Any money we receive that isn’t used towards Aidyns journey will be donated back to the Edmonton Stollery.
If you would like to make a direct donation to the family please reach out to me for Jessica’s email for E-Transfer.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and generosity. Together, we can help Aidyn and his family focus on what matters most: his recovery and getting through this fight, one step at a time.
With gratitude,
