A last minute decision but an optimistic and positive approach!
June 3rd - June 9th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
I decided to join the cause and bring happiness and support to those in need but I need your help.
This event raises awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic and funds services such as HIV testing, prevention, care, and much more.
Since 1993, when the Ride began as a for-profit event called “California AIDS Ride”, participants have raised more than $200 million and completed more than 42,000 journeys on bikes from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Every dollar you donate will directly fund the work of San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center to provide free HIV/AIDS medical care, testing, and prevention services.
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
The goal of $5,000.00 includes the $3,000 minimum donation to be able to participate and the extra cost of renting and shipping a bike for the almost 600 mile journey. Anything extra or over the goal will be directly donated to AIDS Life/Cycle Organization.
