Raphaël a attendu plus de cinq ans pour réaliser son rêve de longue date soit accéder à un enseignement supérieur de qualité dans un établissement réputé.
Aujourd'hui, la renommée Université anglaise de Sussex lui propose une offre sans condition pour intégrer des études en Relations Internationales et Sociologie, deux sujets qui le passionnent. Il ne peut cependant pas se lancer dans cette grande aventure seul.
Il est la première personne de sa famille à aller aussi loin dans les études. Et bien qu'il vienne d'un milieu défavorisé en Afrique de l'Ouest, c'est un jeune homme brillant que je suis honorée de connaître et au nom duquel je suis fière de mener cette campagne GoFundMe.
Son histoire est donc loin d'être terminée et c'est pourquoi nous avons besoin de votre soutien.
Raphaël a l'ambition de contribuer à transformer son pays d'un statut de pays sous-développé et non démocratique en un pays développé où les droits de l'homme sont respectés et les opportunités sont ouvertes à tous. Grandir dans une société offrant très peu d'opportunités sociales et économiques est exactememt ce qu'il souhaite changer pour que les générations à venir ne subissent pas la même chose.
Son programme commence en Septembre 2021 et il a besoin de votre soutien pour ses frais de scolarité, d'hébergement et pour subvenir à ses besoins durant sa première année universitaire à Sussex. Je sais que c'est une demande conséquente, et je vous saurais gré de montrer à Raphaël autant de soutien qu'il vous est possible afin qu'il réalise son rêve et rentre chez lui en faire profiter sa famille, sa communauté, son pays.

Raphael has waited for more than five years to achieve his long time dream to get an opportunity to acquire a quality tertiary education in a reputable institution. Today he has an unconditional offer to study International Relations and Sociology which he is passionate about at the reputable University of Sussex, in England, but he cannot do it all by himself. He is the first person in his family to ever get this far academically. And despite coming from a disadvantaged background in West Africa, he is a brilliant young man whom I am honored to know and on whose behalf I am proud to be running this GoFundMe campaign.
But his story is far from complete and that is why we need your support.
Raphael has a big dream to contribute to transforming his country from an underdeveloped and undemocratic country to a developed country where human rights are respected and opportunities are available for all. He tells me that his experience growing up in a society with very little opportunities is something he would like to change so future generations don’t have to experience the same.
His program starts in September 2021 and he needs your support for his tuition, accommodation and living costs to cover his first academic year at Sussex. I know this is a big ask, but I appeal to you to show Raphael as much support as you can so that he can finally achieve his aspiration and be what he wishes to be for his family, his community and for his country.
