Hi, everyone-
As many of you know, I'm going through the process of a separation and divorce, and that led to looking for a job for the first time in 3 years. I've been out of the workplace since 2018, when I stepped away to help take care of my 3 nieces after their mom passed.
I spent the past year dealing with the mental and emotional upheaval that came when I was told we were getting a divorce, and then I put in the work over the summer to gain some more education and experience, and took courses in data analytics to help me in my job hunt.
That job hunt, by the numbers, took me 6 months, wherein I applied for 322 jobs, and had 22 companies reach out to interview me. It's been rough, and my hopes of having a job to be able to put money aside for a few months before my lease is up in April dwindled as days, weeks, and months passed without an offer.
So, here I am, in the latter half of February, having to ask you, my friends and family, for financial assistance. I had hoped I'd have a month or two of pay at this point so I'd have funds to cover some debt payments to bump up my credit score for my apartment search, have some to do basic maintenance for my car, cover moving expenses, and have some money to help cover costs associated with the divorce.
