My name is Joel. In 2013, I worked in Myanmar for a Swiss humanitarian organization. It was there that I met Vivian's mother, who worked as an interpreter. Vivian was born with ectodermal dysplasia, a very rare genetic disorder. Although treatments are available, they are expensive. This is especially the case today in Myanmar, given the ongoing civil war. Vivian's parents reached out to me in March for help to pay for her medical care.
