Je m'appelle Samantha-Kim, j'ai 24 ans et je souhaite participer aux Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo 2020. Je suis finissante au baccalauréat en communication publique de l'Université Laval. Je suis également une ancienne athlète professionnelle de volleyball de plage pour l'équipe nationale canadienne et joueuse de volleyball en salle avec l'équipe féminine du Rouge et Or.
Depuis toute jeune, je suis une mordue de l'univers sportif et je souhaite concilier mes compétences en relations publiques à ce domaine. J'en ai maintenant l'occasion!
Lorsque je faisais partie de l'équipe nationale, je m'était donné comme objectif ultime de participer aux Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo 2020. Mon plus grand rêve était de représenter mon pays sur la scène internationale et de vivre de mon sport. Maintenant retraité dû à une blessure et bien que se soit dans un différent rôle, je ferai fièrement partie de la prochaine délégation olympique en tant que responsable des médias numériques au sein du comité canadien.
La mission olympique est essentiellement une expérience bénévole. Toutes les dépenses sont donc aux frais des employés : billet d'avion, hébergement, vaccination, nourritures compris. Les frais se retrouvent très couteux et totalise un montant de 8000$.
Pour deux semaines et demi voici les frais :
Vol : 2000$
Hébergement : 4000$
Nourriture : 1300$
Dépense (carte de métro, vaccin, etc ): 700$
En tant que jeune professionnelle, je n'ai malheureusement pas les moyens de m'offrir moi-même cette merveilleuse aventure. C'est pourquoi j'ai besoin de vous!
Après avoir réfléchi aux impacts de cette opportunité sur ma vie, il m'étais impossible de refuser d'y participer. Je vois cette occasion comme un investissement sur ma carrière professionnelle, mais également comme l'aboutissement de tout mes efforts sportifs et scolaires.

Hi everyone!
My name is Samantha-Kim, I am 24 years old and I want to participate at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. I am a fifth-year public communication student at Laval University. I am also a former beach volleyball player with the Canadian national team and indoor player with the Rouge et Or women’s squad.
Since my childhood, I have been very fond of the sport world and wishes to reconcile my public relations skills in this field. I now have the opportunity!
When I was part of the national team, I had set myself the ultimate goal of participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. My biggest dream was to represent my country on the international scene and make a living from this sport. Now retired due to an injury and although in a different role, I will proudly take part within the next Olympic delegation as a member of Team Canada digital media team.
The Olympic mission is essentially a volunteer experience. All expenses are therefore paid by employees: plane tickets, accommodation, vaccination, food included. The costs are very expensive and total $ 8,000.
For two weeks and a half here are the expense :
Plane tickets : 2000$
Rent : 4000$
Food : 1300$
Expense (metro card, vaccination, etc ): 700$
As a young professional, I unfortunately cannot afford to offer myself this wonderful adventure. This is why I need you!
After thinking about the impact of this opportunity on my life, I could not refuse to participate. I see this opportunity as an investment in my professional career, but also as the culmination of all my sports and school efforts.
