Aidez Jack à compétitionner à l’international

Bonjour, mon nom est Jack Chicoine, j’ai 13 ans et j’aimerais solliciter votre aide pour avoir la chance de participer à des compétitions de speedcubing qui auront lieu aux États-Unis dans les prochaines semaines. Mon objectif est de participer à de grosses compétitions non pas pour remporter des titres, mais pour continuer de m’améliorer et aussi rencontrer les meilleurs cubeurs du monde et avoir la chance de discuter avec eux, comme j’ai pu le faire lors du Championnat nord-américain, auquel j’ai participé au début juillet, à Toronto.

J’ai commencé à m’intéresser sérieusement au speedcubing en 2021. En 2022, mes parents m’ont inscrit à l’Open de Montréal – une des rares compétitions près de la maison –, afin que je puisse faire partie officiellement de la World Cubing Association, et ainsi pouvoir participer à des compétitions officielles partout dans le monde. Voici mes principales réussites, dans les différentes disciplines de speedcubing :

Les fonds amassés serviront à payer les frais de transport, d’inscription et d’hébergement. Les prochaines compétitions auxquelles je suis inscrit sont le Great Lakes Championship 2022, qui a lieu à Port Huron, au Michigan, les 19 et 20 août, et le Amherst Open 2022 qui a lieu au Massachusetts en septembre.

Les autres compétitions auxquelles j’aimerais participer se déroulent dans l’Ouest canadien, partout aux États-Unis, en Europe, et même en Australie ou en Nouvelle-Zélande. Merci de m’aider à réaliser mon rêve, qui serait d’éventuellement assister ou participer aux championnats mondiaux de speedcubing.

Help Jack Compete Internationally

Hello, my name is Jack Chicoine, I am 13 years old, and I would like to ask for your help to have the chance to participate in speedcubing competitions that will take place in the United States in the next few weeks. My goal is to participate in big competitions not to win titles, but to continue to improve and also to meet the best cubers in the world and have the chance to talk with them, as I did at the North American Championship, which I participated in early July in Toronto.

I started getting serious about speedcubing in 2021. In 2022, my parents registered me for the Montréal Open—one of the few competitions close to home—so that I could be officially part of the World Cubing Association and thus be able to participate in official competitions around the world. Here are my main achievements in the different speedcubing disciplines:

• Finalist at the Montreal Open, Skewb (with a time of 4.82 seconds)

• 157th in Canada, at the Skewb (for the average time of resolutions)

• 397th in Canada Pyraminx (for best time)

• Best personal time (unofficial) 2 × 2: 1.25 seconds

• Best personal time (unofficial) Skewb: 1.75 seconds

• Best personal time (unofficial) Pyraminx: 4.25 seconds

• Best personal time (unofficial) Clock: 13.05 seconds

• Best personal time (unofficial) 3 × 3: 15.36 seconds

The funds raised will be used to pay for transportation, registration and lodging. The next competitions I am registered for are the Great Lakes Championship 2022, which takes place in Port Huron, Michigan on August 19–20, and the Amherst Open 2022 which takes place in Massachusetts in September.

The other competitions I would like to attend are in Western Canada, throughout the United States, Europe, and even in Australia or New Zealand. Thank you for helping me realize my dream of eventually attending or participating in the World Speedcubing Championships.
