HELP SEND AIDEN TO THE YOUTH WORLD TEAM TRIALS!

We’re reaching out on behalf of one of our own, Aiden, a dedicated athlete who has grown up training with us here at Legacy and K-Bay Wrestling. Aiden has earned the opportunity to compete at the Youth World Team Trials, where the top athletes from across the country battle for a spot on Team Canada. If he wins, he’ll represent Canada at the Pan American Championships, a huge milestone in his journey.

AIDEN'S STORY

Aiden began training muay thai as a young child and soon moved into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 15 years old, but it was through trying wrestling to improve his BJJ that he truly found his passion. At 16, he entered his first wrestling tournament and came away with a 2nd place finish.

In just a year and a half of full-time wrestling training, Aiden placed 3rd at OFSAA 2024, and in 2025, he climbed even higher to 2nd place. These aren’t just medals, they’re proof of his commitment, sacrifice, and discipline.

SACRIFICE

We’ve seen firsthand the hours Aiden puts in. He’s often at the gym for many hours at a time, sacrificing his social life and personal time to chase this dream. His efforts recently earned him a wrestling scholarship to Brock University, a huge accomplishment. But before he begins that next chapter, he has one more mountain to climb.

WHY IT MATTERS

Wrestling has been more than a sport for Aiden, it’s been a way to build confidence, find community, and develop as both an athlete and a person. He wasn't a natural athlete growing up, but through wrestling, he learned how to train, how to handle loss, and how to rise again.

His mother, Jen, has been there from day one, letting him practice countless takedowns on her when he was just starting out at Legacy. Aiden’s goal isn’t just personal success, it’s to show that Canada has world-class wrestling athletes, and to be part of building that future.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

This GoFundMe is to help cover the costs for Aiden to attend the Youth World Team Trials. What we raise here will cover:

-Flight from Toronto to Edmonton

-4 days of hotel accommodations

-Meals while traveling
