Our nephew, 11 year old Aiden O’Keefe is a
sweet, fun-loving, hilarious little boy who
loves sledding, playing hockey and spending time with his family. 

On Friday, December 11th Aiden was brought to Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley
Goose Bay complaining of leg and groin pain.
Troubling blood work pointing to Leukemia
had him airlifted to the Janeway Children’s
Hospital in St John’s NL.
On Monday, December 14th came a parents
worst nightmare. His diagnosis of Pre B Cell
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
(Pre B Cell ALL) was confirmed.

Pre B Cell ALL is a both fast growing, and
aggressive form of Leukemia, therefore his 
treatment is starting today, Wednesday,
December 16th at the Janeway Children’s
Hospital. Aiden will need to remain in
St. John’s far away from his home in Goose
Bay for an extended period of time.
(A minimum of 6-9 months to start)

It is going to take unprecedented amounts of
time, energy, and finances from these very
first stages and into the months and years to
come.
Aiden’s mom (Donalda), dad (Gary), and little
sisters (Ellie & Kacie) will be walking this road, unknown to most, for the foreseeable future.
