Today (October 7, 2025) is the big day. I'm both happy and terrified. My boy Aiden goes in for his life changing spinal correction surgery at KGH. I will be staying in Kingston for up to two weeks to be there with him through every moment. This is huge. It's a huge step forward for my little guy and I'm trying so hard to stay positive but I'm actually freaking right out. He will be out of school for a minimum of 6 weeks and possibly a lot longer depending on how it all goes. I've been pretty quiet about it all because I've just kept it in the back of my mind because it's scary and upsetting for me to talk about it. The full recovery time is up to a year and requires a bunch of follow ups and just so much stress on this little guy. I just hope he's not in too much pain..

Now you talk to Aiden... He's pumped!! I coordinated with his surgeon and we told Aiden he's going in for back surgery but the surgeon told him they are going to try and make him into Wolverine from X-Men. He's ready to go now!! Haha little dude is pumped!! He even told me when he gets done he's going to start lifting weights and exercising.. if you know Aiden you know that's not something he normally wants to do. He's really going to lose it when he sees I got him realistic wolverine claws beside his bed when he comes out of surgery. Plus the surgeon expects that he will gain roughly three inches in height when they get his spine straightened out. Wow! He will be Wolverine!

I'm trying to remain positive but there is no telling the amount of stress this next year could hold. I am going to be there for my boy through it all but I also need to figure out a way to pay for all the expenses. I'm looking to take on any small jobs I can in the evenings while he's sleeping. As much as I am going to be there for him I need to make sure I don't let the rest of our life go. If you have anything you need done I'll do it. Anything.. I will be in Kingston for possibly the next few weeks so unless you're in Kingston I probably can't help. This is a tough spot. I really want to be there with my boy during the days but the bills won't stop coming and I need to stay on top of it. I just need to figure out a way to do it. Please inbox me I will do literally anything you need done.

I will keep everyone updated with how it all goes and try to post some pictures. Please keep my boy in your thoughts and prayers.

The next time I post there will be a new Wolverine in town.
