Aiden needs a new prosthetic eye

Now that Aiden has reached adulthood, he needs a new prosthetic eye as he has outgrown the current one.

Aiden was diagnosed with retinoblastoma (eye cancer) as a toddler, and this resulted in his eye being surgically removed when he was 4 years old.

Previous prosthetics were covered by Medicare and were also considered a compulsory requirement for daily life. But now that he is 18, he is no longer covered for this as an adult as they are now listed as cosmetic and non-compulsory. Same applies with NDIS - prosthetic limbs are covered, but not eyes! And the cost is phenomenal!

Nobody should be expected to walk around with just one eye, especially when the reason for this is beyond one's control.

I am hoping to raise enough to cover at least some of this cost, and if it goes beyond then the funds will be put aside for future required surgery to lift his drooping eyelid.
