Aidan Hassan & the Hassan Family
Donation protected
Hello, all of The Orange District Basketball Association & Orange Eagles.
I am writing to request support for one of our own, Aidan Hassan, who has just been diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and started treatment (Chemotherapy) at Westmead Children's Hospital.
Aidan is an Accomplished Basketball Player, referee & representative player for the U16's Orange Eagles. He has a mean 3 point shot, which he has been working on relentlessly.
The Hassan family's commitment to our basketball community is truly inspiring. Laura, a Director on the Orange District Basketball Association Committee, is an all round super volunteer, attending most of our events, managing at least 1 Rep team per year, heading up the Rep committee, and even taking on the less glamorous tasks like manning the BBQ for fundraising or cleaning up (including the toilets) on the recent State Cup Weekend.
Jacob, Aidan's brother, is also an accomplished Basketball Player, Orange Eagle Rep Player, & Referee with a big heart, having had to fight his way back to fitness after quite a few injuries.
Aidan's dad, Damo, is also an excellent basketball player (Fowls Shooting Guard) and a regular volunteer at the association.
The Hassan family has supported Basketball in Orange for many years and needs our support now more than ever. I urge you to dig deep, spread the word to your friends, family, and team, and offer as much support as you can.
Thank you in advance for your support. We will keep you updated on Aidan's Journey to Recovery!!!
