Help Aiden attend the Interlochen Arts Camp

Hi, my name is Aiden, a high school clarinetist. I have been invited to attend the 6-week Orchestra and Wind Ensemble Summer Program for High School Students at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, Michigan. In order to be invited to the Interlochen Arts Camp, I had to undergo a rigorous audition process consisting of many requirements that showcase high-level mastery of my instrument. Interlochen Arts Camp is a pre-professional summer camp allowing for intensive preparation for a professional career in the performing arts including immersive technical training, career guidance, practical feedback and performance opportunities. Students study with a variety of world renowned musicians, conductors, and teachers. Interlochen Arts Academy distinguished alumni of musicians include Josh Groban, Jewel, Norah Jones, Anthony McGill (Principal Clarinet, New York Philharmonic), Lorin Maazel (former Conductor, New York Philharmonic), and Kim Kashkashian (Grammy-winning violist).

Music is my passion. I am privileged to be 2nd clarinet in the North Port Symphony and play in the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, in addition to playing in the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra at the fine arts magnet high school. I was recently selected for the Florida All-State audition band and the Hillsborough County All County Band. These musical opportunities have highlighted the impact music can have on one’s life. I truly believe that music brings color to an otherwise monotonous world, allowing musicians to evoke an infinite landscape of emotions and bring a variety of characters to life. Making music is not only personally fulfilling but also brings joy to those experiencing the music. To continue to fulfill my love of music, I plan to pursue a professional music career. Attending the Interlochen Arts Camp will be a life-changing experience, allowing me to make connections with musicians from around the world.
