Aidelys Burgos

This fundraiser is in honor of my beautiful and amazing sister, Aidelys Burgos. It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that my family shares her passing on March 5, 2024.

Aidelys was a devoted mother to her 3 children (Josaidy, Annalise and Joshua) and a grandmother of 4 (Aidelyn, Ethan, Ivan and Halo). She worked as a phlebotomist for Atlantic Health where she provided excellent care and support to cancer patients. She was also a woman of great faith. In October 2021, at the age of 44, she received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Her journey with chemo was a very rough one but she handled it with grit, strength and grace. Though her battle with this disease was extremely difficult, the treatment somewhat stabilized the progression of the disease. She was able to enjoy time her family and enjoy her grandchildren. However, in January 2024, the disease became very aggressive to the point where no further treatment options were available to her.

Many have asked how they can help. With all the emotional pain that death brings, it also brings a financial burden. The funds collected will be used for her funeral arrangements and to help her family transition to life without her.
