Help Beat Cancer with Aidan Pomeroy
Tax deductible
Dear Family & Friends,
As I thought about what I wanted to do for my Bar Mitzvah project (which is focused on helping others in need) I decided to combine a couple of things that really matter to me -- curing cancer and making people laugh. Unfortunately, cancer has touched my life in many ways, especially with the loss of my grandmother, Yvonne Pomeroy and my grandfather, Gordon Greenspun. I also wanted to include humor in my project since we all know life is short, and it’s important to laugh along the way! My idea was to try to use some humor to support kids battling cancer (and hopefully give them a laugh or two)! So over the course of a few months, I wrote a bunch of jokes as they popped into my head …and that is how my book of silly jokes came to be!
If you are interested in reading some truly original jokes, please take a moment to make a charitable contribution of at least $5 to the Anne & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and in exchange you can receive one of my newly published joke books . The proceeds of all the donations will be going to pediatric cancer research. I will also be donating a box of the books directly to the Children's Hospital so the kids can enjoy them too!
I hope I make you laugh AND feel good knowing that by donating to this important cause, we are one step closer to kicking cancer’s butt!
Thank you,
Aidan Pomeroy
P.S. Here's a little preview from my joke book:
Q: What did one water droplet say to the other water droplet when it got stuck?
A: I think I went down the wrong pipe!
