Aidan Riley - Teen hit in crosswalk

Donation protected
On June 23rd, Aidan was struck by a car in a crosswalk at Burnside and Wascana Street, Victoria BC, while walking his dog. Aidan entered emerge on Thursday night in critical condition, with internal bleeding and a broken pelvic bone. That night they were able to stop Aidan‘s internal bleeding, and on Saturday, he had surgery to fix the pelvic bone.

I'm organizing this fundraiser to help support Aidan‘s family during this challenging time. Aidan's mom, Jen, must take time off work to support his recovery, but she does not receive any sick pay. Aidan has approximately three months of recovery and cannot work at his Starbucks job for the summer. This fundraiser will cover Jen’s loss of wages and some added comforts for Aidan during his healing time.

Aidan is a kind and caring teenager. He has a lot of friends that adore him. Aidan is 17 and has been my son‘s friend since grade one. I have always called Aidan my red-headed stepchild. On all my family vacations, Aidan has come with us as one of my own. Aidan gets good grades and works hard at his job. He is an amazing big brother to six-year-old Chris who has autism. Aidan and his mom Jen are very close. Jen has slept at the hospital with Aidan every night since the accident. Had this happened to my son, Jen and Aidan would have done anything and everything to help me. I love both Jen and Aidan very much.

Please help this family in need. All help is appreciated, no matter how small.
