Roger and Abi Lowther received a call on December 2 that no parent ever wants to receive. Aidan, their eldest son, had been involved in a bicycle accident with another bike on his college campus. He suffered major injuries including severe head trauma and had to be transferred to a larger hospital by helicopter. Aidan is slowly making progress as he comes out of his groggy state and is beginning to communicate, but it will be a long recovery road ahead.

While insurance will cover some of the costs, we know there are many out-of-pocket medical bills with this type of severe injury. Abi and Roger are also incurring other smaller daily expenses as they commute daily to the hospital to be with Aidan.
