Aida Opera Candies started in 1947 by my grandfather in San Francisco. When he passed away my parents were asked to open a store in Burlingame. One of my dad's students opened the new Crosby Commons building and thought it would be a great fit.
For 26 years we merely existed. When we had to move to the current Burlingame Avenue location we were hopeful it would improve business. We did not anticipate the impact of 2 years of construction and street closure.
Now we are struggling to get through what can be a profitable holiday season but are so in debt can't get the supplies that would be essential for a succesful season. It has been extemely difficult to ask for help but as a last
resort I am.
Your help would be appreciated beyond words.
