Support Zayden’s Recovery After Car Accident
My daughter Zayden (Kylee) was involved in a major car accident on 3/20. The ambulance did not arrive on the scene until over an hour after the accident and did not provide proper care to her. She was taken to the trauma unit at Beth Israel Hospital in Beverly, where she had several tests and scans completed and ultimately went into emergency surgery to repair her humerus that snapped completely. They put in a large steel plate from her shoulder down past her elbow and 11 screws. When the bone snapped, it went into her radial nerve, which has now caused her to lose all motion and feeling in her wrist and her fingers except for being able to bend a couple of fingers down slightly. The hope is that with time she will get feeling and movement back, but it is not guaranteed. And if she does, it can take up to 6 months.
She is a very hard worker and also attends college, holding a 3.97 GPA for the 3 years she has done so far. At this time, she is supposed to apply for PA school in just 2 months. She is determined to continue with school and has been able to attend most classes with accommodations as she is right-handed and that is the arm she sustained the most injury to. Zay had just gotten a place of her own 3 weeks before the accident. At this time, we do not know when she will be able to return to work.
Any funds raised will go directly to her to assist with all bills for her daily living, medical bills not covered, help with her student loans, and allow her to rest and heal without the worry and added stress of bills. Any support is deeply appreciated and will help Zayden focus on healing and continuing her education without the added stress of bills. We appreciate and thank everyone ahead of time who is able to assist. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
