My name is Will Gaines and for the past year and a half I've undergone several mental health crises. I was briefly committed to a psychiatric hospital in March of last year between my biological father dying, getting divorced, and the stepfather who raised me dying. I had a long road to recovery but I was making progress until January of this year when I had my first major setback.

Since that time, my mental health has continued to deteriorate leading to more financial problems until it came to a head 6/29/2026 which required a hospitalization and another leave of absence from work for which I will not be compensated for a month (though in all fairness my job has been supportive).

However, this leaves me in a bind. We are moving out at the end of July 2026: I am moving back to Alabama to be close to my brother and nieces to try and recover but I simply do not have the money to move especially now I'm on unpaid leave.

I also have two cats I have to move halfway across the country. I have received some much appreciated help from loved ones but I don't have the credit score for a loan and to be honest this is a last ditch effort for me. Absolutely anything you can do to help would be amazing.
