My name is Rebecca and I'm starting this GoFundMe for a good friend and coworker of mine. Her name is Wendy and she is a paramedic. On Thursday, May 22nd she was physically assaulted by a patient while working in the Emergency Department. Wendy suffers from a right AC joint separation, a left AC joint separation, a broken clavicle bone on her left side, and a cervical sprain. With these injuries she is estimated to be out of work 12-14 weeks. She is currently awaiting a MRI of her shoulders to see if she will need surgery and if she does, she will be out of work even longer.

I am asking for donations to help Wendy with her monthly expenses such as mortgage, power bill, car payment, phone, gas to/from physical therapy and doctors appointments, etc. Wendy is an EXTREMELY hardworking, talented, and caring paramedic. She has the biggest heart and what was done to her was completely unjustified. It's not fair that she will not only suffer physically from the injuries, but now she has no way of paying for her expenses of living due to one person's senseless act of violence.

My hope is that with this fundraiser Wendy will be able to focus on recovery and be less stressed on the financial burden of being out of work. Any donation amount is deeply appreciated.
