Aid Wanda's Family After Tragic Fire
Donation protected
This is my fun-loving friend, Wanda (Tripp) Rapp, and her adult son, Tristan. Like so many others, they lost their Altadena home in the Eaton Canyon Fire on January 7 -- the day after her birthday . Fortunately, she managed to evacuate with her son and their cat, Gyro, bringing only a few clothes, small items, and a just-delivered box of skin care products. I guess her skin is truly aglow (like the fire? Yikes!) We're a little late getting the word out there because she's one of those "I can handle everything myself" kinds of people who stays brave and positive, no matter what hard knocks life hands her. I have known Wanda since college and have watched her stay positive as she raised a son on the spectrum while tending to her husband, Richard, through two rounds of cancer. He passed away in 2018. She also lost her dog, Rocky, just a couple of weeks ago. She is staying positive now, even though her friends think her life is like is a country song. When she returned to her home, there was nothing to be found in the rubble except some assorted wind chime parts and the sparkly hot pink dragon she had just gotten for her birthday. Since the dragon survived, she clearly still needs some kind of knight in shining armor. She knows she will get through this like she has so often before. Her hope is that she can stay close to Pasadena/Altadena so that her son can continue to receive the services of his assigned Regional Center. Any help you can provide for housing and re-furnishing their lives will be greatly appreciated!
