Help those affected by Hurricane Helene

I was living with a friend along the river in Asheville, NC when Hurricane Helene struck, absolutely devastating our district of the city. Once the toxic floodwaters receded, our apartment and everything within was left totally destroyed. But we were the lucky ones. We escaped with the clothes on our backs, whereas others lost everything. Hardworking business owners returned to see their livelihood in ruins, families forced to watch their homes get swept away by the current on the news, and an uncountable number of people are losing sleep over loved ones that may never be found again. In the wake of such a catastrophe, I can't help but feel a baseless survivors guilt, and an urge to help those around me try to piece their lives back together after the storm. From the donations gathered so far, both myself, my friend, and our families have stabilized, and all further donations will be distributed to other in need throughout our community.
