In Loving Memory of Truffle – Support Cici & Kevin

Hi, my name is Cici, and my boyfriend Kevin and I are fundraising for our sweet 6-year-old French Bulldog, Truffle. She’s not just our dog—she’s our family, our sidekick, and the center of our little world. Truffle is full of personality, love, and that signature Frenchie sass that keeps us smiling every day.

On Wednesday, 5/28, Truffle suddenly became very sick with vomiting and regurgitation. We rushed her to the emergency vet, and she was admitted to CCVS for further evaluation. A nasogastric tube had to be placed to help decompress her stomach, and she was hospitalized overnight for supportive care.

Unfortunately, things escalated quickly, and Truffle needed emergency surgery. During the procedure, her team removed a splenic mass and collected biopsies from her stomach and intestines. The thickening in her pylorus (part of her stomach) was more extensive than expected, but thankfully, they were able to confirm there was no complete obstruction and collected samples for testing.

Truffle made it through surgery and anesthesia smoothly (our brave girl!), but she needed several more days in the hospital to manage her pain, lack of appetite, and continued regurgitation. She’s now home with us on nine different medications, and we’re doing everything we can to keep her comfortable and help her heal. We’re still awaiting her biopsy results, and we know there may be more decisions ahead depending on her prognosis.

Truffle has endured so much in her six years and has always come out stronger. With a history of IVDD, knee dislocation, dry eye, and other chronic conditions, she’s faced every challenge with grace and resilience. Her strength has only deepened our bond with her—she’s our little warrior and the sunshine of our lives. No matter what she’s been through, she remains the same loving, energetic, happy girl who makes every day brighter.

We’ve always fought for Truffle, and we always will—but this time, we need a little help. Her vet bill has already totaled over $16,000, which is a heavy financial burden for us.
