Just a few months ago my husband, Troy, nearly died from a colon rupture. He was able to heal without surgery but was off work for 2 weeks. His healing involved a colonoscopy after 4 weeks of leaving the hospital and an upper GI scope. These procedures showed an ongoing problem due to diverticulitis and scar tissue from the colon rupture. Troy’s GI surgeon/specialist told us that he would rupture again and that there was no way out of having surgery. On Monday August 11th Troy had surgery to remove nearly 7 inches of his colon. No other issues were seen by the surgeon. Now it is all about rest and recovery. Because of this surgery Troy will be off work for another 6 weeks. At this time we are needing financial assistance to pay ongoing medical expenses and everyday living expenses. This has been more challenging due to my own health and not being able to work at this time. We are NOT people who ask for help, but, we need it now. Please if you can help support Troy’s recovery.-
