Aid Tre's Healing Journey: ICU to Recovery

Hey everyone…

For those that don’t know, I’m Ashley, Ralph / Tre’s little sister and I’m creating this to relieve him and my SIL of any potential stress in the weeks to come…

Tre was in a motor scooter accident on 10/11/2024, where he received bruises from the impact. After being seen at a local urgent care, he was given steroids and was told to take Tylenol to reduce pain. Unfortunately one of the bruises created some havoc internally and was placed in ICU on 10/16/2024. On 10/18/2024, Tre was intubated and remains on a ventilator, however we’re very hopeful that he’ll be off of it soon. Tre is battling multi organ damage, sepsis, infections, pneumonia, and a slew of other implications and the progress has been so slow… the best way I can explain it is that his body is like a whole bunch of necklaces tangled up. Everything is connected and affects each other, so any treatment has to be administered closely and carefully to not further disrupt anything else.

We were told on top of the week he’s already been in ICU, he probably has another 3-4 weeks, and then will be moved to a general medicine room in the hospital. He is out of work for the foreseeable future. Brittany has been at Tre’s side everyday and will try returning to work part time early next week, even though we all know how hard it will be on her. On top of being out of work, the medical expenses are already building up and I would love for Tre and Brittany to be able to concentrate on Tre’s road to recovery 100% and not worry about anything else.

My parents, Ralph and Val, have also been at the hospital everyday. They have put their post retirement plans on hold to be the biggest supporters and advocates for Tre and to be a shoulder to lean on for Brittany. The 4 of them are extremely close and I’m very grateful they are all together during this time.

We are also asking for prayers, positive vibes, and any good wishes you can send to my family. The past week has been so incredibly emotional but the love and on going support from our family and friends has been felt from all over. We truly appreciate you.
