Donate to Torta's Sick Day

This sweet little gremlin, Torta, was not feeling well this week! Torta was rescued in the spring of this year and has been in foster care awaiting his forever home since this summer. This week, his foster mom, Sunflower, noticed he was lethargic and not playing with his foster siblings as much as usual. His appetite was also down, so we made a vet appointment to rule out any major issues.

On 10/16, the wonderful staff at Aadobe Animal Hospital examined him thoroughly and suspected something viral or a parasitic blood infection. He had a temperature of 104 and discolored gums. We agreed to do bloodwork to be safe. He was sent home with antibiotics and an appetite stimulant. Happy to report that he is responding well to the meds and seems to be almost back to his normal self! And the bloodwork came back normal.

However, we still have the matter of the bill. While it was very reasonable at $350, it was an unexpected rescue expense. It has been paid in full, but any assistance recouping the cost is greatly appreciated so I can continue to help cats like Torta!
