Aid to the Farmers
Tax deductible
3 months. 3 long, excruciating months of being treated with nothing short of belittlement and treachery. The inhumane actions of India’s government have brought light to the corruption that plagues the nation. Now, the whole world is watching, witnessing the atrocities being inflicted by Narendra Modi on the people he was appointed to protect.
Farmers are gathering at the capital city of India in hopes of reconsideration from the Indian Government; they are protesting for the revocation of the three bills passed during September of last year. The Indian Agricultural Acts of 2020 are the epitome of exploitation of power and have left the farmers of India with the short end of the stick-further dividing the nation. To put it short, they have allowed large corporations to unconstitutionally take advantage of the deregulation of farming and the low bargaining power of farmers.
Farmers were undemocratically stripped from their jobs and are now asking for recompense through the means of protest in New Delhi. But imagine assembling the largest peaceful protest in human history, only to be treated with the contrary. The Indian Government has shown its true colors by responding to these protests with unforgivable bigotry; over 200 protesters have died and dozens more injured.
If you have read until this point, I appreciate your genuine care and interest in this movement. Thousands of families are continuing to protest in the streets of New Delhi despite the harsh weather conditions and lack of essential necessities; that is why I have created this GoFundMe page. I believe we all must feel empathy towards the farmers in India and contribute to their cause in any way possible. You can make a difference right now by donating; everything will directly go to the non-profit organization, Khalsa Aid USA, which provides food, water, shelter, and clothing to the farmers on the ground through their team in India. If you cannot donate, that is completely fine, you can also contribute by sharing this page on social media and encouraging others to do so as well. I hope we can all come together and raise as much as possible for a cause that is in desperate need of our support. Thank you.
