During the month of September 2024, Task Force Officer SGT. Tim Purnell, of Camden County Metro PD was suddenly incapacitated by a medical emergency. This medical emergency was later diagnosed as complications from Non-Hodkins Lymphoma. TFO Purnell was hospitalized for over a month and required weeks of rehabilitation. Tim, a loving father to his daughter, is veteran of the Camden County Metro PD, where he rose through the ranks and worked on various units to include HITDA. Tim finally met his goals and was assigned to the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force Camden Division in October 2023. Tim is a great leader and respected Officer on the RFTF and in his community. Tim is a lifelong resident of Camden and has continued to give back to his city.

During this time of need the Law Enforcement community is asking for your financial assistance to help Tim. Tim continues to rest and work on his recovery from his surgical procedures relating to this disease. Tim is expected to be out of active duty for the foreseeable future. These funds will help Tim, and his family relieve any stress created by his extended work absence.
