Aid Tim Hartman in His Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hi Family and Friends ~ I, Tracy Abbott, am reaching out with a very humble and heavy heart to ask for support for my favorite person in the world ~ Tim Hartman. Life can completely change in an instant. That is what happened to Tim on February 25th. I was working from home that day and noticed his coloring was way off; he was extremely yellow. I immediately said we have to go to the hospital, to which he agreed ~ I was completely shocked.
Once we arrived at the Emergency Room, they immediately ran several tests. They confirmed that he has a 2"x2" mass on the head of his pancreas, which is blocking his bile duct. On Thursday, the 27th, he had a procedure done that entailed placing a stent to release the backed-up bile.
We met with the surgeon on March 4th, and he explained the surgery that Tim needs. It is called a Whipple Surgery; it is a very MAJOR 8-10 hour surgery.
The healing period is anywhere from 8-10 weeks. Surgery is scheduled for Friday, March 14th ~ one day before his birthday.
Once he is totally healed from surgery, he will undergo 6 months of chemotherapy.
Tim and I discussed this issue in great detail. I am taking a leave of absence from work so I can be his full-time caregiver. To be completely transparent, I want to be with him every step of this unexpected journey.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can help with medical bills and daily needs.
Here is what your donations will go toward:
● Medical bills: out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance.
● Immediate Living Expenses: household costs, groceries, and bills, as we manage without a sustainable income.
● Traveling to and from doctor appointments.
Tim and I both thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can provide.
With Love and Gratitude ~
Tracy and Tim
