21 surgeries: Aid Tiffany in Overcoming Health Challenges
Donation protected
Hello, I hope everyone is well. My name is Tiffany, and I'm the last person to ask for financial help from strangers, but here's my story in short form.
I'm 44 years old and have worked as a home health aide for two and a half years. Four years ago, my health issues began, leading to 9 back surgeries and 2 hand surgeries. Over the last few years ending in a total of 21 surgeries in four years. I've battled sepsis multiple times, requiring blood transfusions. This year, my left foot started turning upside down and became very painful, but I had to continue working to survive.
In February 2024, I underwent three major corrective surgeries, and I thought it would be the end of my health struggles. However, at the end of June, I found myself unable to walk on that leg again. After numerous doctor visits, I went to Boston Mass General and had my leg amputated from the knee down. After a two-week hospital stay, I returned home, only to fall and reopen my amputation, requiring another surgery. I fell again due to weakness and neuropathy, which caused numbness in my limbs, affecting my balance. After returning to Boston Mass General for a third time, it was discovered that the infection was deteriorating my shin/leg bone and all my calf muscles.
I rarely talk about this and feel embarrassed to ask for help. I have some resources, but the disability waitlist is possibly over nine months, and I'm homebound and unable to work at all. I am asking if you could donate a few dollars to help me obtain the necessities I need to get by. My family has been wonderful, but the expenses are becoming overwhelming. I need some assistance. If you know me, you'll understand that I wouldn't ask if I didn't truly need the help. Thank you!
