Thelma Cuevas and her family almost lost their lives in a house fire in June of 2025. Their cat, who sensed danger and bit Thelma's nose to wake her in the middle of the night, was not so lucky.

They lost everything. Thelma, an alleged victim of domestic violence has suffered unimaginable loss in her life. The fire tried to claim the balance. She and her children made it out with only the clothes on their backs.

We at Ember House Productions are calling on our community to help this amazing family as they try to pick up the pieces, despite the ashes.
