Aid the Wilsons: Fire Recovery

Donation protected
The Wilsons lost their house along with almost all of their personal possessions in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA. This house was a labor of love, designed to be a gathering place and to create community. It was the scene of many joyous celebrations with friends and family since 2012.

d'Layne is a friend of Victoria's from college days. They were Kappa Alpha Theta sisters, in a Bible study together and have stayed in touch over the years. Since the pandemic they have been in a Zoom bookclub with other college friends focused on social justice issues. The first book they read back in 2020 was Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower which eerily echos what is happening in Los Angeles right now.

The whole family was able to evacuate to Victoria's parents' house with their dog and two cats and are grateful to be together and have a safe place to be, but there is a long and uncertain road ahead.

Funds will be used for immediate needs and future replacement costs not covered by insurance. All donations received will be sent directly to the family so they can purchase the basic necessities, clothing, food, and anything else they may need at this very difficult time. Thank you for showing your love and support. Any amount is very much appreciated.

Victoria and Charlotte were recently featured on NPR to share some of their story. Click the link below to hear the broadcast.
