Aid the Stoddards: Life After Disaster
Donation protected
Jackson and Yarissa Stoddard just moved to Cambridge two years ago. Last week, they lost everything when their neighbor's house exploded. Luckily, the Stoddards and their two dogs were able to escape the fire, but rebuilding their lives has proven difficult.

Jackson, a connoisseur of high-value collectables, lost his entire collection (a huge portion of their life savings) when the upstairs was burned. Yarissa lost her wedding dress and engagement ring. Both lost items that they desperately needed for work -- he lost all his laptops, and she lost all her beauty products. They now own one pair of shoes each.
For now, they are staying with friends and family, but even transportation has become difficult. When the explosion happened, their car caught fire, leaving it undrivable until repairs are completed. Even getting to the store requires coordination amongst family members that all have their own jobs.
Jackson and Yarrisa are a power couple that have always persevered through adversity, but today, they need our help.
Starting today, they're rebuilding their lives from scratch. Due to the fire and water damage, they have no clothes, shoes, beds, sheets, appliances, office supplies, or electronics. If you donate, Jackson and Yarissa will use up to $3,000 of that money to reconstitute their basic necessities:
- Jackets, Clothes, Shoes, and Belts ($500)
- Basic daily hygiene products ($500)
- Home Office Supplies and a Laptop ($1,500)
- Blankets, Pillows, and Towels ($250)
- Family Albums and Document Restoration / Reprinting ($250)
- Easter Decorations ($50)
- Dog toys ($50)
Any money we raise over $7,000 will help them rebuild their condemned home after it is demolished.
- Appliances ($3,000)
- Beds (1 x human bed, 1 x dog bed) ($1,000)
- Living Room and Kitchen Furniture ($2,500)
- Kitchen Cookware and Dishes ($500)
