Help the Quezada Family in Their Time of Need

Donation protected
Dear Compassionate Hearts,

We are the Quezada Family, and our lives have been shaken to their core. On August 21st, my beloved husband, Roger, lost his courageous battle to advanced stage 4 colon cancer. Despite his valiant fight and the love that surrounded him, we were denied the financial assistance we so desperately needed from the state of California. Now, we are facing the heartbreaking reality that the home we’ve cherished for 17 years—the sanctuary where we shared so many beautiful moments and where my husband left us to be with Jesus—is in jeopardy. On Tuesday, January 21st, it goes up for auction, and we are at risk of losing it.

For years, we fought tirelessly to keep our home, doing everything we could to maintain stability for our family. But now, with an unrelenting company pushing for foreclosure and the loss of Roger’s income, we are caught off guard and financially unprepared. The burden of adjusting to a single income and covering mounting rent expenses is overwhelming, and we find ourselves at a crossroads.

Our family includes myself, my son, my daughter, my grandson, and two very special German Shepherds—our constant protectors and companions. Our shepherds, aged 9 and 4, have only ever known this home. They have grown up here, playing in our yard, guarding us, and offering us unconditional love and comfort through the hardest of times. They are not just pets; they are family. The thought of being forced to leave them behind or find a place where they are not welcome is an unimaginable pain. They have been by our side through every step of our journey and have kept our spirits lifted, especially after the loss of Roger.

Our deepest desire is to stay in the home where we have built our life and memories. I’ve already lost so much, and I simply need to hold on to this place for the sake of my family and my own healing. The house has so much love in its walls, and it’s the place where my husband’s spirit still feels near.

We’re asking for your support to help us through this critical time, and every bit of your kindness will make a difference:

- $200,000 to settle our second loan on the home and allow us to stay.
- Moving costs: We need help with the expenses of renting a moving truck and ensuring that our most cherished belongings are safely moved to a new home, if we must leave.
- Rent expenses :As we search for a new place to live, covering the first and last month's rent, as well as a deposit, feels like an impossible hurdle. Your generosity can make this daunting process much more manageable.

In times like these, we cling to our faith. As 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 reminds us: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Through it all, we continue to find strength in each other and in the grace of God.

Your compassion can be our lifeline. Every dollar, every prayer, every act of kindness brings us closer to stability. We have always tried to be there for others, and now we humbly ask for your help so that we can continue to provide a home, a haven, and a sense of peace for our family.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for being our beacon of hope.

With heartfelt gratitude,
The Quezada Family
