Dec. 17th, 2024, Hutchins, TX, 10am tragedy struck.

Hello, my name is Derrick King and I have started this GoFundMe for my mother, father, and niece. On Dec. 17th at 10am, my parents' house caught fire with my parents barely escaping with their lives. The fire department was unable to put it out in time to save the house. My parents and niece lost everything. All clothes, shoes, etc., gone!! I am really kind of lost for words right now, so I just ask you all to bear with me. I never once thought this would happen so close to my heart, but it did, and we are just thankful to still have my parents here with us. Everyone got out okay but with minor cuts and bruises. The mission is to help get them back on their feet and try to rebuild the house if possible, put clothes on their backs, and shoes on their feet. All the bedrooms caught fire. The kitchen, living room, etc., just need deep cleaning from the smoke and destruction from the firemen. My parents have been in this house since I was 11 years old. I am now 38 years of age. So many memories in this place we all called home at one point in time. With the holidays around the corner, all my niece's Christmas things are gone , including school clothes. I'm going to do everything in my power to help my parents rebuild and get back on their feet as they would do the same for me. So today, I am asking the world for help. Please help me help my parents. I don't know exactly how much it's gonna take. I'm not even sure if the set goal is a goal, but it's a start. Please, I don't want anyone to feel pressured, and I know life is hard for everyone right now, but if you can find it in your hearts, it would be greatly appreciated.
