I am the grandmother of seven amazing grandchildren. My daughter, Jennifer Martin, has one daughter, Lily, and my son, Bryan Martin, has six - Jordy, Anna, Myles, Jacob, Matthew, and Alexander. They both were living in two homes in Altadena. Both homes were taken by the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California. Thankfully, both families had time to get the kids and animals into their cars and go stay with friends. All the children attend St. Monica's School in Montrose. They are strong due to their faith and being supported by their church, school families, and friends.
This fire has hit so many, so hard, so fast. They will come through. Everyone is healthy and loved. They could use some immediate help with getting new school uniforms, school supplies, diapers, clothing, and shoes. A place to live and furnishings will come later. Now it's a little bit of help to get them started and out of their state of shock. I don't think anyone that has been affected by the fires in California has realized the magnitude of the loss. Their neighborhoods are gone. Their local shops and eateries are no longer there. The toys the kids just got for Christmas don't exist. It's the small things that make such a difference.
Any donation would be such a gift - a blessing.
It's hard to ask for help.
It's harder to see your children struggling each day.
My heart is broken... thank you for your consideration, your thoughts, and the prayers you are sending to them.
Grammy Pammy - the grateful mother of Jennifer and Bryan and grandmother to Jordy, Lily, Anna, Myles, Jacob, Matthew, and Alexander.
