Hi everyone,

If you know me, you know this is not something I’d ever normally do. But right now, my heart is heavy, and I feel called to ask for help, not for me, but for friends of ours.

A few nights ago, one of my son Daniel’s best friends, Tristan, and his family lost their apartment in a devastating fire. By some miracle, the smoke detectors woke them and they made it out safely, for that, we are beyond grateful. But the reality is, they walked out with only the clothes on their backs. Everything else, every belonging, every piece of their home is gone.

The Liu’s are a wonderful family with two little boys, 8 and 5. They are kind, funny, and loving, the kind of people who would give anything to help someone else, and now they’re the ones in need. While they’re staying strong and keeping their spirits up, I can’t begin to imagine the heartbreak of having to start over from nothing, especially with young kids right before school starts.

That’s why I’m reaching out. If you’re able to give, even just a little, it will go directly toward helping them rebuild their lives, replace essentials, and provide some comfort in the middle of so much loss. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this with others is also a huge help.
