Aid the Lavender Family: House Fire Relief

We’re the Lavender family. On Wednesday, May 28th, while at work, I got a call nobody ever wants to get. My mom had called and told me that our house was on fire, and she was only able to grab my baby and run. By the time I got to the house, there was nothing to be done but wait for the firefighters, who, yes, I beat to the house from work. My baby and my mom were safe, and that’s what mattered in the moment.

We lost EVERYTHING we had, from materialistic items that can be replaced to our most sentimental possessions that are irreplaceable. Right now, we simply need help to cover our bills, mainly rent, until we figure out what's what. We have reached out to our local community for help as well, and people have been so kind to donate things and do whatever they can to help. The Red Cross gave us a debit card with money on it that will help with essentials and things needed immediately; however, that will only last a few days. To those who have donated to us already, we thank you. We are grateful for everything.
