Please help support the Kishchak family to escape war, find safety in Michigan, and rebuild their lives...

Hello, my name is Greg Marten. My family is raising funds for the Kishchak family of Ukraine to help them escape war, find safety and good schooling for their young child in the USA, and rebuild their lives in Michigan. Vasyl and Hanna were living peaceful, productive lives outside of Kyiv when Russians started their brutal full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022. (Vasyl was called to military duty and received a medical exemption. He continues volunteer efforts to this day.) The Kishchaks fled for their lives to western Ukraine, but tragically Russian missiles followed them there, too. A few months ago they made the very difficult decision to leave their homeland, family, and friends and rebuild their lives in the USA, where my family will be sponsoring them in Michigan and assisting them with things like completing necessary government forms, getting jobs, enrolling in school and English language classes, navigating cultural differences, etc.

Unlike some refugees from Ukraine, they do not already have relatives or close friends here. Your generous support will help the Kishchak family to obtain the things they need to get started here in the USA, including but not limited to items for daily living beyond what they can bring, any health/hygiene needs, funds for a decent used car, car insurance and maintenance, and enough money for a security deposit & first month’s rent for an apartment.
