Aid the Gonzalez Family in Overcoming Tragedy

Hello, my name is Shirley Suarez. I am a friend of the Gonzalez family who unfortunately had a fire that has left them homeless.

I am reaching out to family, friends, co-workers, and any kind strangers in hopes to help alleviate some of the financial burden the Gonzalez family is facing. Sebastian was transported to the hospital due to the 2nd-degree burns he received on his foot while trying to put the fire out.

On Monday, April 7th, the Gonzalez family had a fire in their home. Due to the fire and water damage that occurs with a fire, the family has been left homeless. The night of the fire, the Red Cross was able to temporarily help them by putting them in a hotel for a few days. The family is incredibly grateful to the Red Cross for the immediate assistance they were able to provide.

Unfortunately, the Gonzalez family, which is a family of five—Dad Sebastian, Mom Diana, daughter Alannis (12), sons Andy (14), and Joel (18)—is now faced with medical expenses and trying to find somewhere to live and the expenses that go along with that. The kitchen and living room are unsalvageable. They will need to replace their living room furniture, kitchen furniture, and everything needed (food, pots, pans, glasses, silverware, etc.) for a working kitchen. The family is grateful for any financial assistance they receive that can help with the hospital and medical bills along with all of the additional funds needed for a new home (last month, first month, and security deposit).

Hopefully, with the help of the community, we can help get the Gonzalez family back on their feet.
