On March 28th, Friday night, Isaiah Gomez and Pablo Gomez were involved in a near-fatal car accident. The car accident happened in St. Louis city, at Pernod and Hampton. At around 11:30 pm, Pablo and Isaiah were on their way home and had a green light. Unfortunately, a speeding driver decided to run the red light at the intersection and severely t-boned Pablo and Isaiah. Witnesses stood by and made sure the ambulance got to the scene quickly. The driver who struck the brothers walked away with just tickets. Unfortunately, Isaiah and Pablo did not. Pablo suffered a head concussion and short-term memory loss, as well as severe bruising. Sadly, Isaiah took most of the impact. Isaiah broke both pelvis bones, broke his femur, fractured his ankle, fractured ribs, fractured his left hand, broke his collarbone, fractured his lumbar, and had a puncture wound to his bladder and lower abdomen. Six operations were done. The two brothers have gone through a lot of pain and suffering. With being in the hospital for a couple of weeks, ICU for 3 days, and future weeks in rehab, close family and friends wanted to share their story, get the word out there about how dangerous the streets here in St. Louis are, and how someone’s life can change in a second. Isaiah and Pablo have a long road to recovery and have been extremely grateful for the love, help, care, and support of all family and friends, strangers, and all who have helped at Barnes Jewish Hospital. With this fundraiser, if you would like to make a donation, it would be very helpful to the brothers and their family in these very hard times. Thank you all who took the time to read this and their story. God bless you all❤️
