Help the Goins Family Through Their Grief

On December 14, 2024, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina we unexpectedly lost my sister, Mary Hardy Goins, due to a heart attack. Mary was 48 years old, married with 4 children. She has two adult children outside the home and teenage twins who live at home.

Mary was a strong woman who, in the process of taking care of others, didn't expect her body to take a toll on her. She had been going back and forth to the hospital trying to tend to the needs of her husband, who has stage 4 nsclc (non small cell lung cancer). A tumor broke off his lung and went to his brain, and they are dealing with that now.

Mary was watching TV and began not to feel well. She got up to take a shower and started to feel worse. Her husband called 911 and an ambulance picked her up. When she arrived at the hospital, she had an infection in her lungs. They planned to medevac her to another hospital but she passed before doing that, due to the heart attack.

They did have health insurance but unfortunately, they had no life insurance. My brother-in-law has been fighting many obstacles, not just his own health but now the death of his wife, and he lost his brother the day before.

If anyone could find it in their heart to help my brother-in-law and the children, it would be much appreciated. I know this has been a struggle for them all, and we're just looking to help any way we can. Thank you, and God bless you all.
