My name is Howard Crossman. I live in Fraser, Colorado, seeking assistance for my parents.

The Crossman family has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

Our family home—the house I was raised in—has been completely lost. The home where my mother is currently staying is leaking severely and appears structurally unsafe.

My father has lost his farm, including all crops and livestock, and one of my brothers suffered major damage to part of his home from fallen trees. Every member of our family has been affected in one way or another, facing loss and hardship. I have still not been able to reach some relatives to fully understand the extent of the damage.

We are reaching out for help to begin rebuilding and to provide critical support for our loved ones. Much of the island remains without power or phone service. I am trying to secure a generator and import a Starlink unit to restore reliable communication, but the overall situation is still uncertain. I also hope to take advantage of the duty-free shipping currently being offered by the government to bring in essential supplies for both our family and the surrounding community.

Any assistance—whether a monetary donation, emergency supplies, food, or building materials—would make a tremendous difference. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps bring us one step closer to safety, stability, and recovery.
