We’re reaching out with open hearts and hopeful spirits as we navigate one of the most unexpected and emotional chapters of our lives.

After what we had hoped would be a smooth delivery, I ended up needing an unplanned C-section, and shortly after birth, our sweet baby boy Teddy was admitted to the NICU. While we are so grateful he is growing stronger every day, the road to bringing him home has been filled with emotional, physical, and financial challenges we never saw coming.

Due to my recovery from surgery and the needs of our newborn in the NICU, my husband Kyle has had to take time off work to support both Teddy and me. This has left our family without a steady income during a time when expenses are rising fast.

To make things more difficult, delays with insurance coverage have left us paying out of pocket for many of the medical supplies and equipment Teddy will need in order to come home safely — things like monitors, feeding supplies, and medications that aren’t currently covered.

We’re doing everything we can, but the financial strain is real. We’ve created this GoFundMe to ask for help from our village — any amount you can give will go directly toward:

• Medical supplies and equipment Teddy needs to come home

• Travel and daily expenses related to the NICU

• Household bills while Kyle is unable to work

• Ongoing care and recovery support for both Teddy and me
