Hello, this is Hana, Susan's daughter. On Saturday August 10th around 3pm my mother got lost in the forests of Oregon while ATVing with her cousin. She was found several hours later. She had went over the side of a cliff and fell 300 feet down into a gorge. Thankfully trees helped to lessen her fall damage. She was put into a helicopter basket and life lined to the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. She has been here since Saturday night around midnight. Before she went on this trip she had hip surgery a couple months before and had just recovered, maybe a week before the trip she damaged her other hip and had an MRI, we don't yet know the results from that MRI. We were worried she may have broken her other hip. When she fell she got pretty banged up, but thankfully for the major injuries it looks like she only suffered a concussion and a broken foot. She's been very confused but she's doing better. They want her to go to an in-paitent rehab but we will likely be flying back to California first and finding a rehab center there. She's pretty traumatized, she lost her phone and glasses so those will need to be replaced, but overall we are just grateful she is alive. She has very brittle bones so this really could have been a whole lot worse. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, it means so much to our family. There's been a ton of expenses here from plane flights, to hotels, medical expenses and basic needs like food, we also had to rent a car. I'm setting up this gofundme in hopes I can help raise some money for my parents to help with these expenses.
